Tries galore as Jake leads the Crusaders title party
The Rugby Paper|April 28, 2024
WITH Dings stalwarts Charlie Taylor and Jake Holcombe reaching the milestones of 250 and 200 appearances respectively, the massive win over Camborne was a fitting end to the season.

Tries galore as Jake leads the Crusaders title party

Holcombe crashed over from a driving maul within five minutes to start his hat-trick, one of several through the 80 minutes in a remarkable 17-try display.

Despite Camborne’s best efforts, with a few glimmers of hope in the first half, they were thwarted at every turn.

Outstanding for the Cherry and Whites were Jack Davis and Jack Kessell out on the wings. William Tanswell at scrumhalf shifted ball after ball but with no return.

Although their frustration was evident, Camborne didn’t stop. The pack held firm and towards the end of the game the work nearly paid off, only to be rejected by Dings dogged defence once again.

Although started by player of the match Holcombe, it was the backs who set fire to the scoreboard in a try fest.
